How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use League Index.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Minimal Data Collection
League Index is primarily an informational and analytical service. We do not require user accounts or logins. We collect very little personal data.
- Automatically Collected Information: Limited technical data such as your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and general usage statistics.
- Gameplay Data: Publicly available gameplay statistics provided by Riot Games. When you look up a summoner, we store those records on our server — the summoner name, Riot PUUID, and match data returned by the Riot API — so repeat visits load quickly. They are stored against the anonymous league_user_id browser identifier described below, not against a name, email, or account.
- Anonymous Browser Identifier: A randomly generated ID stored in the league_user_id cookie. It separates one browser's saved lookups and preferences from another's. It is not derived from you and is not linked to any identity you have given us.
- Cookies & Analytics: We may use cookies and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how our Services are used.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use the limited information we collect to:
- Operate and improve our Services
- Monitor usage and performance
- Protect against fraud or misuse
- Comply with applicable laws
We do not sell or trade personal information.
DATA RETENTION
We do not create user accounts, so we hold no name, email address, or password for you. We do retain the summoner lookups made from your browser — summoner names, Riot PUUIDs, and match records — stored against the anonymous league_user_id identifier. The identifier's cookie lasts one year; clearing your cookies detaches your browser from those stored records. We keep only the five most recently accessed accounts per browser identifier, and automatically collected technical data is retained only as long as necessary. You can request deletion of the records held against your identifier — see Your Rights below.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your information
- Restrict or object to certain processing activities
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request data portability
- File a complaint with your local data protection authority

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly gather data from children.
SECURITY
We use reasonable measures to protect the limited data we process. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
If you access our Services from outside the United States, data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to this transfer.
