SUMMONER'S RIFT
Three lanes, jungle, dragon and Baron pits. Most of your composite score comes from here.
OVERVIEW
Summoner's Rift is the canonical League of Legends map. Three lanes (top, mid, bot) connected by a mirrored jungle. Each team has five players across five roles. Matches revolve around lane control, objective timing, and teamfight execution. It's the main map for ranked play and the only map used for competitive esports.
LAYOUT & OBJECTIVES
Spawns every 5 min. 4 elemental types give the team permanent stacking buffs. After 4 drakes, the dominant element transforms the Rift and grants a powerful soul buff. Elder Dragon spawns after soul is taken and executes low-health enemies.
Spawns at 20 min. The hardest neutral objective on the map. Killing it grants a team-wide buff that empowers nearby minions, accelerating siege pushes. A contested Baron is often the decisive teamfight of the match.
Spawns at 14 min, despawns at 19:45. A solo-lane oriented objective. Drops a relic that summons the Herald to charge down a lane, dealing massive damage to the first tower it hits.
Each lane has 3 towers per side plus 2 nexus towers. They deal escalating damage and provide vision. Outer towers fall first, opening the map. Inhibitor towers protect the inhibitor. Destroying it spawns super minions in that lane.
One per lane behind the inhibitor tower. Destroying an inhibitor causes that lane to spawn super minions for 5 minutes. All three down at once creates overwhelming map pressure.
